Master of Arts
Overview- The Master's program in Sociology and Hindi is aimed at initiating a dialogue on society and the social. Blending contemporary sociology with classical theory, we offer dynamic courses such as law and society, the collective social, the sociology of kinship, and research methods. Our faculty, trained at leading universities in India brings in its expertise and specialization to create a teaching environment that is engaging and interactive. The first year of the MA (Hindi/Sociology) program is designed to give students a strong grounding in an interdisciplinary approach to Humanities and all students will have to take courses in English and Sociology irrespective of their specialization. The second year of the program is geared for a more in-depth study of courses in the core discipline culminating in a substantial research project (thesis) in the students area of interest.Course Structure-The first year is considered a foundation year. All students will take the same four courses each semester irrespective of their selected stream. In the third semester (second year of the MA program), students have three subjects in their core subject. The fourth and final semester has only two core subjects as each student works towards a final MA thesis.

Master of Science

Thesis- Maa Gayatri Mahavidyala strongly encourages the development of research skills and temperament in a young scholar. At the heart of the PG program is a student’s work towards their thesis, a substantial and original project of academic research and writing. Working closely with faculty expertise, students are taught to find a subject area that they are strongly drawn to. They are then expected to read relevant scholarship on the area, as well as apply the scholarship — the area of application may be literary or philosophical texts, field sites, archives, film, creative writing, etc. The thesis is an integral part of education and students will be supported in thinking of the thesis project as early in the program as possible, if they have demonstrated strong academic capacity and motivation. Many thesis have gone on to be published as monographs, in academic presses, in public media, as well as fiction, non-fiction and so on.
Bachelor in Science

Bachelor of Arts
Bachelor of Arts (BA in Humanities) is a carefully curated liberal arts degree that inculcates varied critical and creative skills across three years (six semesters). Keeping the larger goals of interdisciplinary in mind, the first two years of the program offer a wide range of Foundation Courses for a strong grounding in fundamental concepts and recent scholarship. Foundation Courses are offered from the following disciplines – Literature, Philosophy, Sociology, History, Religious Studies, Film Studies, and Gender Studies. Students can choose Electives in the third year to opt for a Major in English, History or Sociology. Electives in the final year of the program give students the option of a Major in English, Sociology, and History. The program culminates with a research project and the writing of a thesis with faculty guidance. In addition to this, the Centre hosts several workshops, conferences and guest lectures by renowned scholars throughout the year. Bachelor in Computer Application
Overview- Bachelor of Computer Applications program at the MGM envisions providing students with prominent skills in software development to the students, allowing them to excel in the software industry. It also trains students to develop soft skills. This Bachelor of Computer Applications course aims to develop personnel that are academically competent and professionally motivated.The Department aims to impart high quality training to student using the latest in computer technology. In order to upkeep the high standard of education, the department regularly updates the academic syllabus so that the students remain well-trained to deal with the constant changes in the field of Information Technology. The coursework is designed to be flexible and wide-ranging, incorporating the cutting edge and ensuring that the students have a firm grasp on the core fundamentals.
This program is approved by and affiliated to PRSU, Prayagaj. A Bachelor in Computer Application (BCA) develops theoretical and practical abilities of students in computer skills. It consists of a wide range of subjects, which prepare students to work in IT and computer companies. Right from the basics of digital electronics to the highly advanced techniques of theoretical AI; this course contains everything. With the increasing use of computers in practically every nook and cranny of this world; this course is full of potential for aspiring students. We have computer lab consisting of 100 PCs with latest configurations. We also have tablets, AC classrooms fitted with LCD & audio-visual equipment. Curriculum- The BCA program at MGM is exhaustive, making it one of the best BCA colleges in Prayagraj. The BCA degree is a 3-year course which is spread over 6 semesters. During this BCA degree course, students will get to learn subjects that will strengthen their core understanding of the fundamentals of the computer programming.
The BCA course, in its final semester, will require the students to undertake an innovative and research-oriented project that will reflect on the knowledge gained in the earlier semesters. The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree is considered by many as the degree of the future So, many companies give opportunities to BBA degree holders who can be just as good as an MBA qualified manager. Overview- The BBA course is a 3-year course offered in the following streams: Banking, Financial , Markets, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Human Resource Management, Marketing Management ,Insurance, Business Analytics, Economic Studies.
Assessment- A continuous evaluation method is adopted based on quizzes, class tests, viva, presentations, submission of assignments, performance in computer lab and practical. A summer project is carried out by the students after completion of the fourth semester. A local project is carried out by the students during the sixth semester.The evaluation of the project work is divided in project work and viva-voce. The viva-voce is conducted along with external examiners.
